Israeli forces killed 50 people in the occupied Gaza Strip and injured at least 224 others
between 3 and 29 December, despite the declaration of a ceasefire in October. Among them was photojournalist Mahmoud Wadi, 34, killed by a drone-fired missile while he was filming with a drone in Khan Younis on 2 December.
‘Defense for Children International-Palestine said in November that of the 350 Palestinian children detained by Israel, nearly half were being held without charge or trial.
‘DCIP said that children “continue to disappear in Gaza while searching for food and humanitarian aid amid Israel’s blockade”.’

Er werd geprotesteerd tegen de ‘galgenwet’, de nieuwe wet op de doodstraf voor gevangenen die als terrorist worden aangemerkt (lees: Palestijnen).
In april vermoordde Israël zeker 122 Palestijnen op de Westelijke Jordaanoever en zeker 111, onder wie achttien kinderen en zeven vrouwen, in Gaza.
